We’re happy to share that Threadeo has made it to the final round of the One Harvard New Venture Competition (1HNVC)!

1HNVC is an entrepreneurship competition organized by the Harvard Business School Association of Northern California in conjunction with other Harvard alumni clubs in the San Francisco Bay Area. It’s open to all startups that have a Harvard alumnus in a full-time management role (which in our case would be my awesome co-founder and CEO, Michael Fernandez). The program is impressive, with a number of benefits:

We understand that the field was a competitive one, with several dozen entries being narrowed down to a list of fifteen finalists. Here’s the ones who made the cut, in reverse alphabetical order:

Visby — holographic software for VR/AR

Threadeo — search, tag, and translate video/audio/docs

The Better Meat Co. — plant-based proteins that enhance meat

Smarty — AI-powered scheduling assistant

SkinIQ, Inc.—(please help us fill out their tagline!)

SayKid — screenless early childhood learning platform

Pawscout — smart tag for your pet (location, health, more)

PatentPal — SaaS platform for patents

ManagedKube — virtual assistant for Kubernetes

Gridline.AI — clean power project finance

Goal Five — the soccer brand for her

Evolve Energy — save money, save carbon, automatically

Cantina — uniquely designed places for older adults

Bopsidy, Inc. — discover dance classes in the SF Bay Area

Amp.It Inc. — an insights-rich digital media platform

It’s a pretty incredible group. Our fellow finalist startups are doing transformative things in business, and are being built by people who have done transformative things in their own lives. We’re proud to be among them.

Finalist pitches are on February 28th. We’ll keep you posted on the results. Good luck to all.
